MICHAEL De MONO
Michael came to Sweet Hospitality Group in 2008 with an eclectic background in theater, concessions, labor relations and customer service management. That experience includes six years in movie theater concessions management and five years at Actors’ Equity Association where he was National Director of Membership. This experience, paired with his passion for fine food and beverage, made SHG the perfect fit for him.
Starting as a Venue Manager, Michael has managed several of our venues including Studio 54, the Carriage House Café at Papermill Playhouse and the Foxwoods Theatre for the opening of Spider-man: Turn off the Dark in 2010. Michael moved into the position of Venue Operations Manager in 2011 and a year later took over the reins of SHG’s beverage program. As SHG’s Food & Beverage Manager/Mixologist, Michael has created hundreds of one-of-a-kind show-themed and seasonal event cocktails that have been featured by several media outlets including Variety, Fox News and The Wall Street Journal.
Today, as Creative Director, Michael continues to craft new drinks and curate menus of dynamic, high-quality food and beverage offerings while also overseeing visual merchandising, POP signage and event design. Michael also works closely with the marketing department to ensure that the look and voice of the SHG brand are consistently infused into everything we do.
