Catering Manager

Native to the islands of Hawaii, Rainer moved to NYC after graduating from the University of Oregon to pursue a career in event planning. He started as an intern for a full-service catering and event planning company and worked his way up to the role of Event Planner.

Since joining Sweet Hospitality Group in 2014, Rainer has successfully planned hundreds of events for clients that include Disney Theatrical Group, Sony Pictures Television, Steinway & Sons and Anheuser-Busch. Maintaining strong, ongoing relationships with every client is of paramount importance to Rainer. This commitment is evident in the rave reviews both he and our events receive. Rainer also oversees our catering staff, sources vendors and works closely with our culinary and design teams to ensure all events are executed with SHG’s signature service and style.

When not planning events, Rainer can be seen around the city trying new food (he’s a self-proclaimed foodie), watching a Broadway show, or cheering on his beloved Oregon Ducks.
