What does he do?

Darshan oversees all day-to-day accounting functions (or, in his words “I do a good amount of bean counting”). He also ensures that all reporting systems are aligned to provide operations and senior management with accurate financial data. 

How did he get here?

Before joining SHG in 2021, Darshan worked as a CPA in Chicago serving various industries including not-for-profit theaters. He chose to work at SHG because of our inclusive culture and how SHG prioritizes its employees. 

Major SHG accomplishments?

Darshan was our first fully virtual hire upon reopening in 2021. While that is an accomplishment in and of itself, he also oversaw the training of two new bookkeepers as the department expanded.  

What makes his life SWEET?

Spending time with his children, homebrewing (four out of six brews have been drinkable – a good track record) and vacationing with a classic fiction book and a cigar somewhere with no mobile or TV service.
