DAN PROPATI
Chief Operating Officer
What does he do?
Dan oversees all aspects of Sweet Hospitality Group — from concessions and catering operations to business development. With a keen focus on strategic leadership and innovation, Dan drives the company’s mission of making the world a sweeter place. His commitment to excellence and passion for creating positive change are at the heart of Sweet Hospitality Group’s success.
How did he get here?
Dan has a BFA in Musical Theatre and an MFA in Classical Acting from LAMDA and has worked as an actor in New York, on tour, regionally and in the UK before joining Sweet Hospitality Group in 2013. He started as a coat check attendant at the American Airlines Theater, but quickly trained as a bartender and supervisor. He’s managed every one of our venues but spent the most time managing the bars at the Walter Kerr and New Amsterdam theaters before joining the operations team.
Sweet accomplishments?
Dan has played a pivotal role in transforming Sweet’s concessions operation, seamlessly adapting to a wide range of venues. His work spans from the groundbreaking run of Springsteen on Broadway to prominent regional theaters such as The National Theatre in DC, Williamstown Theatre Festival, and McCarter Theatre, as well as state-of-the-art experiences at Hall des Lumières and Wonderland Dreams.
One of Dan’s most significant achievements was leading the successful reopening of Broadway concessions and overseeing the highly anticipated return of Springsteen on Broadway at the Saint James Theatre and Passover at the August Wilson Theatre. His expertise and leadership continue to elevate Sweet Hospitality Group’s presence in the world of theater and live events.
