Director of Venue Operations
EJ began his career with Sweet Hospitality Group as a bartender after graduating from Wagner College in 2008. Like many SHG team members, he was also a working actor during the first few years of his tenure. His performing credits include several regional productions and hosting the documentary television show NJ EATS on WHYY/WNJN.
EJ has performed just about every job function on both sides of SHG’s business. From coat check to cater waiter. From venue management to event captain. He has also worked at the full range of our venues from Off-Broadway to Broadway to high-end event spaces. EJ moved into the position of Venue Operations Manager in 2014 when he supervised our highly successful immersive service for Roundabout Theatre Company’s production of Cabaret. He has also expanded SHG’s technological footprint by coordinating the development of our digital sales, training and pre-ordering systems.
In his current role as Director of Venue Operations, EJ manages the concessions activity of our 26 theater venues. He uses his theater and food service background to ensure SHG’s mission and values are upheld at each show with efficient service and dramatic flair.
